I think this page is in dire need of updating.

Direct X 9.0b - needs to be replaced by 9.0c (for Windows XP users) and 11.0 (for Vista - Windows 7 users should already have this version).
Winamp 5.01 - should be version 5.5
Internet Explorer 6 - should be IE8 for Windows XP and IE9 for Vista and 7. Also, Google Chrome should be added.

Check the compression programs as well. WinZIP is version 8, the latest version is 16, but it's not free.
