epsxe graphics screen problem---plz help

Alright i have epsxe 1.7 and am useing petes plug in bundle everything runs fine on my monitor (21 inch)vga to vga connection.
The problem is when i try to play using my ty (sanyo plasma HD 42 inch vga to hdmi connetion) i can't see the whole game in the screen.
the screen size is good but cuts out most of the game, you can only see the bottom left 1\4 of the game but it fills the whole screen.
I've tried all of petes drivers and tried messing with screen size and resolution ,but nothing seems to help.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I saw another post about this but he didn't seem to find an awnser.

Have you tried a HDMI cable?

What Res does the TV accept without cutting anything from it (I'm talking about your desktop) I think the problem may just be the res you are running ePSXe in

Simply try a few differnt res settings 640x480 should be fine on most sets 1280x960 may be pushing it 960x720 might be OK P.S. these are all multiples of the original PSX res that was only 320x240 in the first place, but the games always look slightly better if you stick to multiples of the original res
