Valkyrie Profile freezing on epsxe 1.6

I think the title is pretty self-explanitory. Here are my settings:

try using 1.7 and if the games mutli disk move the save file to 1.6 switch disk then move file back to 1.7....if not try to download another copy of the game

Thats the thing, 1.7 wont run on linux.

I use PcSX (which is native to linux) for most games. But it crashes with some games so ive got ePSXe 1.6 for those.

Lol, i use linux bc it makes better use of the resources you PC has. And vista crashed on my old HDD. Also, linux is FREE! But this thread has gone off topic, and the problem was solved (if there was even a problem to begin with), so no more posts.
