Alright. Is there anywhere else my friend can get an r4? I got mine ages ago at dealextreme.com, but they're all out of r4 as well as m3s. He's kinda low on funds, so it'd be nice if the price increase wasn't too steep.

R4 is no longer a top of the line card. He should go with M3 Real since it supports SDHC and is cheaper anyway.
Doesn't the R4 also support SDHC? The R4 and M3 are basically the same card with different firmware that are made by the same company.
Personally I've found EZ-Flash V to be fairly reliable. I got mine via Dealsextreme.com for $42 which comes with the 3 in 1 expansion pak for GBA emulation. Best part too is after you upload a GBA game to the pak it can be accessed and played without using the EZ Flash V card. Just start the GBA, select "Start GBA Game" from the menu and that's it.
Only downfall of the EZ-Flash V from experience I'd have to say is that it can be tedious getting your Micro-SD card out of the slot and if you're careless you may tear off the label covering the oddly protruding microchips found underneath it. It slides in and out of the DS's slot fairly easy though so it shouldn't be a problem.
One note however to make is the GBA pak that comes with it is specifically designed for the DS Lite so unless your friend's got one he may have problems using the 3 in 1 pak.
SDHC stands for SD high capacity memory cards, up to 16GB once they release that model next June:

(Panasonic is working on a 32GB model I've heard too :O )
Dunno, but 2-4GB is room enough for me :/
Anyways, I still think that the R4 plus a EZ 3in1 cart is the best solution if you want to have it all, high compatibily for NDS games, GBA support, rumble and the browser.
No, the R4 doesn't currently support SDHC cards, but there were rumours because of the current shortage of R4 cards, they are working on a SDHC capable one.
I know the M3 Simply is pretty much a rebadged R4, I doubt the M3 Real is, it has more features than the R4.

Its a lot more expensive now but mine came quick when I bought it last year. (more expensive b/c of shortage.) I recommend buying memory from Amazon if you do not already have it.
