Problem with Wipeout XL in ePSXe

Well, once I start Wipeout XL using ePSXe it freezes with this on the screen:

The odd/even bit hack is on. This setting lets me play every other game that i've tried without any problems. The crash happens before an intro or anything else. That's the first (and the last) screen that displays.

I have a 3GHz Pentium 4 processor and 256mb ram. Anything else?:wacko:

I have no idea what to do to make the game play. So, will try anything :).

Get more RAM. :P

You should try another emu, like pSX.

Haha, well I tried pSX before but it's slow.

Uh, apparently not, the whole comp was going slow and then it crashed. Working fine now, though, and so is pSX. Well, thanks Evans.:)

But if anyone can help me get this to work in ePSXe, it would be nice. Till then I'll just play in pSX. :P

Try updating your video plugin, it's a bit old:

You've got a cheap video card.

But maybe this'll work if updating doesn't.
Try any/all of them.

Turn off Alpha multipass and Unfiltered framebuffer updates.
Increase Framebuffer Access

Nope, didn't work, but I'll just keep playing using pSX. No worries. Thanks though. :)
