If your comp isn't a decent dual-core, don't expect most/any games to play at full speed.
This is what you need to read:

YES, much more so. In that you can play them at all. There are like 4 versions of this emulator I can think of just off top of my head though.
1) PCSX2 TLB (Non VM) [If your not using certain versions of Windows the VM version won't work, so you have to use this one.]
2) PCSX2 (VM hack?__ that's what it said it was loading in the log before it crashed....) This one doesn't work on my machine. You have to enable your computer (if you have Windows at least) to lock pages in the memory. I didn't have much success with this one. The idea being that it access the Virtual Memory directly... I dunno... I can't get it to work as I'm using Vista. (Does compatibility mode work for it, I dunno that either. = (
3) PCSX2 0.9.5 SVN Rev. 239 (Public Beta) I haven't tried this one, but my system didn't like the last beta. Meh, I'll check it out though.
4) Golden Flair's release, which seems to have a different GUI, among other things. No, don't ask me where you can get it. I don't remember anyways. = P
So, it depends, on which one you are running AND which OS you have AND which kind of Processor, etc. etc. etc...
I think it runs WAY better. (Before you couldn't play commercial games AT ALL) I'm probably going to take the Beta for a spin today. Wish me luck!
