Ok, I'm still at work and unable to help much still... but hook up the fubbared disk, and ONLY that disk into the tower (and your optical drive). Then get a utility call ultimate boot cd and boot from it.

Select killdisk. Use killdisk on your drive. And now hook up your windows drive. Boot into windows and create a partition on the disk. It should be fixed and fully working now. This is a quick and dirty guide, I'll try to be more specific when I get home.
