If you haven't already done so, read this. If it still doesn't work, mail the author of that specific guide, and ask for details. His/her mail is listed in there.
Eh, this post will be retarded but speaking from own Dynasty Warriors experiences..
Read the instructions super-carefully, make sure to kill all subgenerals before the general, if that's what you have to do, clock yourself if you have a time-limit and.. yeah, that's it. :P
