there have been times when im listening to a particularly good or deep song that i get shivers down my spine (during certain parts). it usually happens when im in my church listening to the choir but it also happens when i hear some godly harmony and flow in music that just seems to me as if it was made to be there. does this happen to you? �_�

I can't explain why though.
It happens to me, and it's like an orgasm for your ears. I love it when it happens.
Yes, few songs give me a very deep feeling. It's mostly haunting, not very happy melodies, but that's because of the majority of music I listen to is like that. However other godly melodies can also lighten me up a lot.
Some stuff that sends tingles down my spine:
Arsis - any song.
Suffocation - Liege of Inveracity(the breakdown and the "chorus" riff)
Immolation - The beggining of the song "Christ's Cage". Seriously, that sound drives me insane.
Morbid Angel - Most songs off of "Formulas Fatal to the Flesh", those touch me very deeply. As well as "Visions from the Dark Side".
Black Sabbath - Electric Funeral, any other old songs(classics that still pummel me each time).

Definately. One Rode to Asa Bay by Bathory is a good example. Listen to the purity of a masterpiece Quorthon wrote, be it the music itself or the lyrics. The acoustic breakdown in Death and Resurrection of a Northern Star (also by Bathory) has one of those moments towards the end.
Most Dream Theater epics have at least one passage that's extremely emotional. LaBrie yelling "I'm sick of all you hypocrites!" on A Change of Seasons, screaming his lungs out in the final minute of Octavarium, almost the entirety of Space-Dye Vest and The Spirit Carries On, and so on.
