There's only about 4 months left of school left, and I know there are quite a few senior high school students on the board. I just thought it would be interesting if everybody shared their plans for when you got out of HS. Such as what college you're going to, what you plan to study, what kind of employment you'll pursue, if you'll just end up wandering the streets, etc.
I've already been admitted into NJIT, a relatively good tech institute that my brother attended for a B.S. in Computer Engineering. But I'm having an interview at Stevens Institute, one of the best engineering schools in Northeast US. Let's just hope it goes well and I'm admitted.
Though my SAT scores weren't all that, my highschool grades are not too far off from exceptional, so I think my chances are good if I don't fuck up the interview. I got a nice letter from them stating that they received my test scores and were looking forward to working with me. I saw the campus and it is damned classy.
As for a career, right now I'm aiming for a B.S.(not bullshit, mind you) in Chemical Engineering. I'd like to work as a petrochemist or something with pharmaceuticals or just research for more practical household items, like toothpaste with microbes that do shit over time or biodegradable trashbags/containers and shite. I've seen a job ad in NYC that offers up to $120000 a year. :D
If I see that the career is too boring for my tastes(it's a possibility even for me) I can always go for Biomedical Engineering, which is aimed at specifically at pharmaceutical research, working with medic machinery, microbiology, and all that nifty stem cell stuff. I'll find out eventually.
I lost my interest in astronomy because it's very hard to find employment with that kind of degree. Got to think about my bills and shit. :P
No plans for a car yet since public transport to my univ is great. I'm looking for a job while in univ as a waiter or bartender once I'm 18, since those bitches earn assloads in tips(my bro has experience in this).
Well, that's enough of my life. Post your plans for after high school, preferably if you're about to graduate.
