Heh, apparently some kid in Canada was frightened by Prince of Persia adds featured on the side of thier busses. The kid was apparently so frightened by the Princes snarling visage that he refused to ride any bus that carried the add.

I think the mother is being over protective. First off, even though the child is four, he needs to get some grip on reality. Tell him it's just a picture, about something that has nothing to do with the bus. What happens when an ad comes on TV of similar sorts? Or she doesn't let the kid watch TV? You can't protect your kid from every possible image that MIGHT have a negative interpretation. If that were the case, nothing would ever be on TV, there would be like 3 video games, he could never leave the house, and the dictionary would have 25% of the words in it. At some point, the child will be exposed to something negative, a parent needs to understand that that thing is negative, rather than try to shield the child from it. Certain things can wait, but something as trivial as that, IF it comes up, should be handled easily.
Jesus tap dancing fucking Christ. When will the madness stop. Its a fucking picture for crying out loud. I see worse everyday when I go to school, and I'm damn sure that 4 year old will as well when he goes.
About time...bullshit. About time we got rid of all the stigma about "Cleansing our children of evils." If you don't want your children to learn swear words, learn about sex (let alone have it), and see a picture on the side of a bus, then the answer is simple. DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!! I'm not saying that if you don't want your children to learn about this stuff that you shouldn't have kids. I'm saying you have to realise that your children are going to learn about these things no matter how hard you try. Its a dangerous world we live in right now, better kids learn that NOW then later...

If it had been a monster depicted in said advertisement, I might understand his fear, but... A MAN WITH A GUN...?!? A SWORD...?!? Male kids tend to like those things... ... ... Right...? :wacko:

The only thing that makes me mad is they gave the prince a gun in that advertisment. FALSE ADVERTISING!
Dam kid making canadians look like wusses. owell im canadian and i dont run from a picture on bus and yeah seriously Kids love guns i remember running around with friends playing guns....owell that kid is gonna grow up to be a wuss and will eventually get beat up in highschool and his mother will wonder where she went wrong...its damn obvious where she did, Trying to shield her kid from the inevitible
