Well...I would say try using alcohol(the medical kind) on q-tips or a clean cloth, then wiping not the title side, but the laser lens side, then dry it. Good luck:nod:
i use windex like hell then make an iso then thrash the orginal as much as i want.
there are places that have disc fixing machines. In a local video store there is one, just look around for one. If its a game then a more "evil" way would be to rent the same title and swap your disc with theirs, just dont get caught!
Resurface it. No clue where to find the machines but now you have a name to go by.
The machines cost more then the game itself. It is best to use Alcohol. Rub it from the center out carefully. Let it fully dry then make an ISO using Alcohol 120% at 1x speed.
And how pray tell, does rubbing alcohol magically fix disc scratches?
But anyway, yeah, making a copy may be the best solution, but your systems aren't mod chipped, it won't do you any good.
If none of that works, find a downloadable ISO of it ;)
Alcohol doesn't fix the scratches. It just cleans the surface better then water. This makes the surface a little easier to read. Then you can make an ISO of it easier.
But, we don't know if disc copies are an option yet.
Best bet is to either buy yourself a Game Doctor (or whatever name they go by, it's a small disc resurfacer), or see if your local video rental shop can resurface discs for you.
Disc Doctor works woners, but its pretty expensive.
really? my Game doctor always used to fuck the discs up more :|
if you get it, get the automatic one, not the crank one.
yah i have had some trouble with the crank ones but the local game store here has one of those realy nice 2000 dollar scratch repair machines and they will fix it for free :D they limit you though like 1-2 a week :( lol
I need to find a place like that and slowly fix all my case-less PSX games
Yah only bad thing about this place is they wont fix cd-rs or pc games :(
