mame update full romset question

Hello ,

I am trying to get the full mame romset and i am using romcenter to audit all the roms .

But i would like to know if i am doing it correct .

What i did .
Created a dat file in romcenter from the latest mame64.exe .
Added pack 138 as my head mame roms folder .

No i downloaded update 138 - 139 and 139 to 140 .

I cut the roms in update pack 138 to 139 and from 129 to 140 and passed them in the 138 head roms folder . And i didn't replaced the roms with the same name .
Then i added those rompaths to romcenter .
I click on rompath 138 and i chose FIX .

Is this the correct way . Does it get the missing rom files out of the updates pack to fix the roms in the head roms folder ?

Could somebody help please .
