PCSX2 In-Game lag? please help me fix this!

These are my specs I have everything neede to run the pcsx2 emulator but I cant figure out how to configure my graphics to stop the lag in games like tekken and mortal kombat any game really but concerningly these. I have pcsx2 1.0.0 because I am running on vista and i figured a downgraded version even with having a good graphics card may be best but obviously i'm not doing it right so maybe im wrong there too? Definitely get the latest version of pcsx2 first. There's been a lot of compatibility issues fixed since 1.0

Ok Sir I just downloaded any bios that can be used and the newest version of pcsx2 1.4.0 but now i'm not quite sure how to get pcsx2 to recognize the bios.

3308MB RAM. Is that 3 sticks, and do they have the same clock speed? Mismatched RAM can cause problems like stuttering or slow performance. If you can remove one and keep 2 with the same MB and clock speed, that might help your computer run smoother. And if it doesn't help it's simple to put the other stick back. If it's one 2GB and a 1GB, try running without the 1GB. Almost seems like a 2GB, 1GB, and a 512MB with that odd size.

Is PCSX2 installed in Program Files or another protected system location? This can cause read/write errors that will make your emulator fail to run properly. Reinstall in a folder like C:/{USER}/My Documents/Games, or a Games folder on the desktop. These locations don't have the same Write protection as C:/Windows or C:/Program Files.

Also, have you set your emulator to Run as Administrator? That might also account for the "cannot create file path" error. Similar Read/Write permission issues in Vista. Some programs just do not work without Administrator rights.

only two sticks i believe and dont know how to remove them...but i have a good feeling its not the issue. i got the emulator working with the right bios However the lag is like being able to hit someone every other 3- 5 seconds on tekken tag tournament. any suggestions on how to configure the video plug ins to have fighting games run more smooth?

Will do you a world of good versus using a very obsolete build.

BTW Tekken is gonna chug regardless unless you have a very beefy CPU.

I would say stat wise you're good. Maybe people would say cpu abit low, to them I say shut up.
Maybe with the ram, make some page memory. Or remove page memory and see if direct ram running would help.

But other than all of that, core builds, core builds :P
