General RetroPie noob questions (mame/neogeo/fba)

Hi, Im new to the forum and have been scratching my head about a few questions i'm having.

First: I understand that different emulators for MAME and FBA needs different versions of roms. But does require different BIOS as well?
Second: I want to play CPS1,2 and 3 on my Rasberry Pi 3. Do they need to be compiled to the right version as well? Or can i but them in the FBA folder and just run them? And what emulator FBA emulator should I pick for the RPi??
Third: Is there a simple way I can recompile my roms to work with the emulator i'm using? I have a complete list of NeoGeo games I downloaded here in EmuParadise but I dont kkow what emulator will run them on the RPi and how to get them to the right "version".

CPS1 no bios
CPS2 no bios but mame does store other chips outside the main rom files, the sound chip I'm thinking of
Not sure if CPS3 uses bios images or not but they do use CHD's in Mame that may not be done via FBA if FBA does indeed support CPS3 now (a little out of date myself now)

All can be different between MAME and FBA

NeoGeo does indeed use a bios image and chances are that will also be different

MAME is the main issue because they update all the time with new dumps of games that are already in there list including bios image
