Help with DK64 Gameshark code

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, feel free to move it. I'm having trouble with a Gameshark code for Donkey Kong 64 that lets you play as K. Rool, it "works" but I can't go in or out of levels, use tag barrels or even collect Golden Bananas, I've beaten this game normally before (just not on emulator) and I guess you could say I wanted to... Break the Rools this time. Puns aside is there another code I need to make it work it right? I don't think it matters but I'm using Project 64 version 2.2.0.3. Thanks in advance. PS: I'm using the USA ROM. If you want the play as K. Rool code yourself its 8075C41B 0049 for the USA version.
