Meaningless Discussion on the existence of love
As Skinner8 so adequately put it, and I botched post editing, sorry. So a thread here so that the other one doesn't get sidetracked...
Quote:
Agent Smith from the subpar movie in the trilogy: ...could it be for love? Illusions Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose! And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love.
Does love really exist? Is it just lust? Or perhaps just the novelty of knowing a person so well? How do you really 'know'? And how can you be sure that the feeling are reciprocal? Far beyond me, I'm afraid. I think I'm far too young to truly have any knowledge on the subject, but then, how long do you have to know before you know? Crazy.....

*Cue deep, yet meaningless discussion*
I'm on the "it's just whatever in your brain, just like any other emotion" side, though I do appreciate the odd romantic stuff.
Note that the above post had "does love really exist?" included in it when I was typing this.
