Unlike the froyo root shell techniques , gingerbread is much more sophisticated and required my phone to be rebooted several times to apply the hack. Guess what tho? This Tool does all the hard work for you, including rebooting the phone! Please register to be able to view these links. clicked unroot my phone rebooted several times while i watched the program systematically do it's thing. when it completed i clicked root and watched again as my phone reset a few times. then i had root! installed the launcher ex .apk which is included as well and then ran the remove bloat script. now my old droid 2 feels like a droid 3 and is extremely fast! i couldn't just keep this solution on my desktop i had to upload to a community that has givin me so much over the years!
