Guess it's time to finally use this for once...
Hello, I am Ivolt, and this is, as you can clearly see, my blog. Now, some of you should know me from my various posts on the forums (mostly to the tune of how much I hate you all), or because you've been here so long and actually read hangout posts, but whatever. Anyway, you might be wondering why the hell I've decided to use this blog feature that we've had for the last few months, and for what?
Well to put it simply, I'm using this as a record.
Some of the older members may remember that I've said I was going to start up a variety of projects over the last years: teaching myself programming, making a game (tabletop RPG and otherwise), various LP projects, things of that nature. And to be perfectly honest? I haven't gotten anywhere with them. I haven't forgotten about them, and to be honest, I think about them often, but I haven't buckled down, and you know, written a darn thing down about them. And that needs to change. And it will.
This is a part of that process. On this blog, I'll talk about various things I've started, possibly show how they've progressed, and hopefully get somewhere with these this year, or hell, maybe even finish some of these up. In a sense, this will become my 'Production' blog.
So, I guess should, for a start, make a list of shit I said I'd do this year, and then we can all look back on this post to see if I did any of that shit at the end. And then laugh. But not at me, I'll kill you.
- Make a tabletop RPG (at least the rules)
- Learn to program in *something* and make a game, no matter how simple
- Finish 1 LP project by myself* (The ones I'm doing with Tan, Ray, and/or anyone else don't count)
- Start doing something artistic again (I used to draw and play music, but haven't for a while)
- Go to a fighting game tournament and actually get past the first round
This is a good place for right now. I'll look back and see if I forgot anything later, but for right now, this is a good guideline.
Tomorrow, I'll probably talk about that un-named RPG project I started, seeing as that's really the thing that's been on my mind lately.
Later Days,
-Ivolt
