    Default What NEW retro game releases are you looking forward to in 2025?

    Just wondering what game's ya'll are looking forward to? There are a lot of brand new games being released for old systems, it's an exciting time to be in the retro gaming hobby. So interesting for me that I've created a whole website about it.. If I may plug it here https://retrogame.news/ I encourage everyone to visit and support it. I have an online store but it's currently only shipping to Australia because I can't work out how to allow international shipping. They sure don't make it easy, even with WordPress and WooCommerce to get everything set up.

    Anyway I'll be happy just to get some intel on some exciting games that are either coming out or have recently been released.

    This year I have purchased:

    * Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero (Super Nintendo)
    * Farming Simulator 16-bit (Sega Mega Drive) still waiting for this to arrive
    * ModRetro Chromatic 1st Edition Inferno with ModRetro Tetris (Gameboy Color)

    Looking forward to:

    * Cronela's Mansion (Various) I have pre-ordered the Super Nintendo version on kickstarter but there are several other versions of this game for other consoles and they are all different! It comes out in November and I am really looking forward to getting this one in the mail. I may order another version possibly the NES or GameBoy Color version. I paid 100 EURO to pre-order this which is nearly $200 AUD!!

    * Luft Gears (Gameboy) This one has 5 days left on Kickstarter before it's released. Too bad I can't afford to buy it. Looks like a great game though, it's a space exploration game where you are in charge of a space craft and upgrade it, explore and make discoveries for money and resources. You also have to fend off space pirates and engage in space combat to defend your ship.

    Already released games I want to purchase:

    * Super Tilt Bro (Nintendo NES)
    * The House in the Cemetary (Nintendo NES)
    * Dead Tomb (Nintendo NES)
    * Sacred Line (Sega Mega Drive)
    * Sacred Line II (Sega Mega Drive)

    Let me know what games ya'll are interested in with regards to new releases for retro consoles. It doesn't have to be specifically for 2025 it can be anything released in the last 5 years or so. I'm really hungry for more games both to report on and to add to my want list. Also I'm after the ROM for Farming Simulator 16-bit, I have paid for the physical release (still waiting for it to arrive) but my Mega Drive is not working so I need the ROM to be able to play it. I emailed Strictly Limited Games about getting access to the ROM but they went with the easiest way to deal with a customer enquiry which is to ignore it completely. They really should give everyone who pre-ordered the game access to the ROM because otherwise it costs $15 USD to download it and I already paid over $100 AUD for the physical copy.

    I don't go looking for new retro games, they simply fall in my lap, the same way retro games did back in the day. That said, I adored Alwa's Awakening. It was fantastic.

    What is GW2?
    *PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
