Well if its like Phantasy Star Online you can play on private servers. At least thats what I'm hoping it will be like.

ok im having problems with the game, it starts up fine but when i try to do offline it says a bunch of stuff then OPTIONS then more stuff i dont understand, have any idea what the problem is?
You do know that this game is in japanese right?
This game wasn't localized, nor can I find the translation patch, though I think that it was never released...

Hmm, if you post some screen captures of the problem menus I could fool around with some online translators so you could get the gist of it. Still, it's a Japanese game, and you'll certainly get stuck later
It IS a "mainly online" game, though there is an offline story mode, there was an attempt to make a Private Server, but it fell through when CC2 announced link for PSP, and basically all motivation dropped. The actual official CC2 servers lasted LESS than a year. On the up'n'up they might consider finishing that PC port of the world for us.
Also, some quick tips for playing, "Fertile Land" keyword is for upgrading your stuff. it's more or less the same as the first set of games, cept you make your own character. I really don't reccommend playing it unless you've played the other ones first.

well the only thing i can think of doing is that i gotta first start online mode (to make the character) then start offline, but i gotta find my internet thing for my ps2 ;
If the emu is properly configured and your comp can handle PS2 emulation just fine, it can perfectly mean the game is not emulated yet, most hack games doesn't work either.. http://www.pcsx2.net/compat.php
