Playing Old Gameboy Color Games Online

This is probably a very simple fix, but when I try to play Pokemon Crystal Here:

I'll play for a little and save in the game. When I try to play again, my save will be lost. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? How am I supposed to save my progress?
