I wondered where this thread had gotten to, and then it occured to me that it was made by Lethe, who registered after the point that we rolled back to. Anyway, it was kind of useful for posting things that were news-ish, but not news-ish enough to merit their own thread. So I'm recreating it.
To start it off...probably really old news, and kind of a no-brainer, but Clover Studio plants new SEEDS. Yay for the possibility of more Okami & Viewtiful Joe-esque games.
I was actually gonna see if Roux wanted to do it.
I even consulted god!
But it's great YOU chose to do it. :dansu:
It seems Okami is all the rage round here, at the moment. I played it a couple of days ago in the store. I had to paint a dragon (more like add an extra dot) and eventually came to a tree with a fruit at the top. But I didn't know what to do. Maybe pressing 'circle' and incessent barking will get it down from up there.

I doubt I would have been able to get that at the time, anyway. I proceeded what seemed like straight ahead, dashing, eventually coming to that gate with the light coming from it. I was digging, running around at full sprint and smashing pots along the way.
When I came to that tree, I tried to jump on those rocks to the left, then make a break for the fruit. I attempted to cut it down with the paintbrush (it's annoying when Issun berates you everytime you let go of R1) before leaving the area and searching around.
I ended up back underneath the peach, howling. XD

The last game I played with a familiar look was the recent DBZ, a game which I did not approve of its graphical style.
I don't think I will be buying Okami as of now, but I would play it again if given the chance.

Anyone got a news column on Okami... seems the seeds site is in japanese...
Nah, I just ran across the site today randomly. Sorry. I translated the 'message' page quickly, though, to give you the point. I can translate the rest, too, if there's anything of interest to you.

Atsushi Inaba, Hideki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami. And a carefully selected staff.
We are the seeds (SEEDS) from which the vividly coloured flowers Biohazard, Devil May Cry, Tekki, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami grew.
While we have fallen to new soil, even amidst different soil, our desire to pursue the ideal of "play" remains unchanged.
Now we are thinking of issuing a great challenge to the world of entertainment. However, for that to take place, we need many, many more seeds.
Therefore, we are looking far and wide for applications from those who wish to work with us. People who are laying the foundations of the future. People who are already making games elsewhere.
Won't you come and make a truly spectacular game together with us?

God:

Me:
