An 8 year run on a console is pretty bloody good.

well what im saying is an honest observation i could be wrong about them announcing them at the next e3 but i am saying what i think about the state of games today
Also another way the 360 is out of date is the storage medium. Unless they released an addon for the 360 (unlikely after the failure of the HD-DVD addon) then games are going to end up being on more than 4 discs in the coming years.
In my opinion, the system least in need of a successor at the minute, is the PS3.

[QUOTE=Gypsy;1407313]They won't come out until 2013 anyway in all likelihood assuming stuff is shown off at E3 2012. That would give the 360 an 8 year run...
Because it is what is available and not everyone can afford a gaming PC.[/QUO
well i wasnt even talking about the pc because i dont have a modern or gaming pc so i cant talk about the pc as of right now
Speaking of 360 storage, I actually got an extra 250 GB hard drive when I saw some of the games that weren't going to fit on my (full) 60 GB, but I haven't used the larger one yet. Guess it will be a while before I start filling that one up since I have my Soul Calibur IV and Burnout 3 on the 60 GB.
I tend to stick with the games I know.
New consoles need innovation as well. Dreamcast was released only 4 years after PS1, look how advanced it is comparing to PS1 in terms of technology and innovation. Just releasing a new system with more RAM and faster CPU/GPU won't do, at least for me. I actually hated this generation because it was a redo of Gen6 with better GRAPHIXZ.
As for newer consoles, people don't seem to want them. The old ones are selling pretty well, and people seem to be happy about every COD game that comes out despite the fact that they're exactly the same thing. So why should they bother themselves with something new when people are happily paying for the old stuff???
well everyone needs something new to play for example i was mostly a first person shooter kind of player, but then i played games like mega man and resident evil and im playing them too. (mostly mega man now)
If such rumors are true, it will be nice to see Sony's and MS's new systems at E3. However, if it is a hoax, it won't be a big deal for me. Though I would have to say, the consoles are starting to show their age, but still pretty good to me. The Wii U most likley won't be much more powerful then the current generation of consoles. What Sony and MS have remains to be seen.
I doubt Nintendo would be that underpowered this upcoming generation. Hopefully, they invested that wii money wisely. IIRC, Sony & M$ are going for a 10 year life span, so if it is 8 now, maybe next year, we'll see the next batch of two....or maybe one will drop out, or we could get 4 consoles or something.
However, if one of them did show it, it could mean some competition for the Wiiu, with new console vs wiiu at E3
ok guys im not so sure about this but should i give dead or alive paradise a download? because im not so sure about it should i download it? or should i stick with the fighting games?
Fan-service is the only reason to play that. *shrug*
