Christmas is so 24 hours ago So, what Boxing Day deals did you scam?
Myself I went on a Anime shopping spree. My best deal was picking the three Slayers boxsets for $30 Canadian a pop (they have $120US MSRPs)

*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
I know when it is, I knew what it was, but I obviously seem to have forgotten, someone please tell me what is boxing day?
When they sell things for dirt cheap is my guess.

Hmm, boxing, yes it should be allowable to beat up people

No idea what it's actually for, it's a stat holiday up here in Canada so it has to have some real purpose. Most stores around here use it to blow out leftover Christmas overstock, you can find killer deals like $200 DVD players for $20 (well, that was a couple years ago, DVD players aren't $200 no more). Great deals sell out very fast naturally.

Boxing Day is also a holiday here in Scotland, though most all of the shops are still shut then, so we don't see any such bargain hunting. I've just always used it as a day to sort of uh...wind down after Christmas, it's during January here that we have the aptly named 'January sales', giving shops a chance to blow off old Christmas stock and such.Originally Posted by Ragnar
It's supposed to be a day of generosity and charity for the "less fortunate" (Read: Poor people), from what I've heard...I don't think many pay real attention to it, though. Either you're going to give them charity anyways in the Christmas spirit, or you won't, regardless of a national holiday for it.
they do it in canada because they like to copy the english
just kiddin
its just an excuse for a bank holiday(national holiday) and theres nothing we english love more than a bank holiday.
i heard its because back in the day after xmas they used to have to hire double the rubbish men to deal with all the boxes chucked out from xmas
but hey im a friggin loon dont listen to me
That line just seems so wrong, for some reason.Originally Posted by Elin

I couldn't buy my flash cart, i need to get some us money. They ship worldwide, they are located in canada, more precisly quebec/montreal (30 minutes in car from me), i'm making a mail order but i still have to pay in us money, kinda sucks.
I'm gonna e-mail them to complain and ask a few questions while at it.
I have yet to test the tv to dvd recorder thing, and buy a macrovision filter.
