Heh yeah I love the Xaser 3, it's big, heavy (so heavy my wrist hurt everytime I tried to lift something for like 2 months), and hard as a rock, though it may not be the best looking case on the market I still think it looks great, and I love big full steel towers.. I hate those small plastic cases you get

I like the Xaser 3 case (more the midtower than the full one). I usually don't really like thermaltake cases, but this one looks more agressive than techno, and I like it.

Nice computer, except the ide part. I don't really see the main use of IDE once you taste SATA. I'm not really an Athlon fan either, but it's cheaper than Pentium and is supposed to be more powerful (ahem ahem cough cough COUGH)

Anyway, nice rigs boys, we should make an EP lan party sometime

Well I would be using only SATA but with my awful memory I managed to forget my hotmail password/secret answer, so any new installation I cant use MSN on, so I'm kinda stuck with it for now And I'm going with the FX 53 for gaming power (this is a gaming machine ) and 64-bit, I like to play with operating systems and there are many 64 bit os's in beta/out now

Went out to buy the workstation. I don't remember if I've shown anybody it, but this is what I got.

And this is the layout of what it will look like:

Then I proceeded to put the waterblock on the GPU after coming home:

Dunno what card that is? Here's another hint:

    Nothing? Well here's the answer:

Then I went to put in the sound card, the Audigy 2 Gamer Edition (comes with 5 games):

    And here they are inside.

    Next: The watercooling starts.

Hijacking your thread to say i'm moving from my Chieftec Dragon to a Tsunami Dream case from thermaltake. It's a cool case, under 6kg.

I would like to know what is your motherboard, the chipset on it looks like ..... cheap sh**.
Maybe its because of the cheap plastic fan on it. :\

I dont think hes too worried about onboard stuff...as long as it has enough slots, then all the upgrades should be fine

Windows ME suits me fine....yeah right. lol

To let everybody know, Traen and I once tried to put XP onto my computer, which ended up screwing everything. Ah well.

    XP Pro this time.

And the mobo is the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, which actually made the top choice from a lot of websites. I should perhaps switch the chipset fan on it since it looks like it's from a toy company.

How about half any linux distro and half WinXP Pro with XPLite? (or replace that with Win2k)
