With all my sympathies aside, I think Saddam would be better off in somesort of prison rather than put too death- putting him to death would be just "sinking to his own level".

Well that aint 100% right
look at all these damn ppl that kill ppl and get away with it.
If you commit a minor offence you get locked up with the population of the prison for ages, and if you massacare lot's of ppl you get put in a feucking great place with you're own tv and shit.
