    Default random file name complaint...

ugh, why the heck do they do this?

example: World Ends With You, The

i'm sorry but thats not how you would say the name (wouldn't sound right). you'd say it correctly "The World Ends With You". why the heck is the word The always tacked on at the end of a file name when its the first word of a game/song/etc. title? this game should be under T not W.

No. Do you even English? Have you ever been to a library?
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Index all the games that start with "the". Now, find one quickly. We'll wait.

That's what I was thinking. The "T" sections would be enormous.

I've been to one! Just last week. I spent forever searching for the Old man and the sea but I couldn't even find a single book written by old man McSuicide. As it turns out, the stupidheads had placed his stuff in the "H" category. I'm sorry but "Hemingway, Ernest" is not how you would say the name. Unless you're Asian or something, in which case: touché.

Actually, it'd be easier to understand the error of Treos' ways if English wasn't your first language, I think. Well, if you knew more than one language, rather. Lots of Indo-European languages place the definite article (although there's usually more than one) in front of the noun, see, such as Italian, French and German. And then you have funky languages like Swedish that stuffs the the inside the nouns, at the end, like some sort of suffix (naturally there are several different definite articles and no rules for knowing which one to use!!!). See, I was gonna imply that "not counting" the "the" would make even more sense for a super-cool linguist like me; but I got tired of myself and it should be sort of super obvious to everyone.

With that said I HIGHLY approve of this topic. I'm annoyed by almost everything!!!!

Edit: Also, am I the only one who thought the world ends with you could've been a cool game, but instead it was pretty bad?

The is treated as though it doesn't exist at the beginning of titles if it helps you to think of it that way. The reasons have already been stated but they are strictly organizational. Articulately done Sprung. When you are organizing physical media you can just put stuff in the proper order and treat the as if it doesn't exist. But with text lists it's much easier to look at if you do the comma the thing.
