Personally; I would fully disassemble it, remove the heatsink, deep clean the dust and thermal paste, reapply a new arctic silver thermal paste, put the heatsink back and replace the fan with a new one. I have these things on hand though, so if I didn't already own a fan I would probably not.

Fan seems to work just fine, I can hear it running.



Yeah, it's plugged in all the way.

You could also hear the HDD, or a the second fan IIRC. I mean...it should have a second fan, right? I don't remember.

Yeah, I figured it was the AV cable. because it only usually flashes Orange/Green when no AV connector is detected.

Yeah read that online. Just emailed the guy explaining to him that the A/V is a bit touchy. Might get a response tomorrow. But need to see how much Halo and a Controller is at the local game store here.

Playing some Resident Evil 5, first RE game I've ever played. Should be fun.

Starting off a brilliant series with one of the ultra weak titles in the series. I suppose for new players to the series, 4 is a good start since it's the oldest "new style" of RE game.
