Been playing Resident Evil Director's Cut on the Vita, really enjoying it. Especially the awful voice acting.

Ah, how nostalgic. This game gave birth to so much cringeworthy lines that it hasn't been topped once since (Jill sandwich anyone)?
Currently playing RE 5 when I'm tired of grinding in Devil Survivor and man, the voice acting in RE has improved a tiny bit over the years.

    Zork.

This level of difficulty in this game is too damn high!

Well, my pussy-festic pacifistic game got ruined in Deus Ex: HR by saving Malik from that entire squadron of heavily armed soldiers and a friggin' quadrupedal tank.
On the bright side, I finally got to do things the right way--with a shotgun to the face.
It still took me three tries, because there was always some jagoff hiding somewhere I couldn't see, ruining the mission for me after I thought I was done. . .
But god did it feel good to, after all that stealth crap, finally shoot some people point blank in the face.
    Sarge would be proud!

I was playing Resident Evil Director's Cut but it's pissed me off twice in the last two days, dying when I have done loads...

So I sacked it off to play The Walking Dead on my PS Vita. I finished Episode 1 and can't wait to get into 2 tomorrow after work!

I'm how late to this party?

Dragon Quest V on PS2. I thought the nostalgia packed into every DQ game would get me through it happily, but I"m already considering dropping it for something more story driven. My backlog's too big for me to thole grinding like I used to.

Also, I'm strongly aware of the stupidity in having spent three months collecting PC98 games and Chinese RPGs just to suddenly rediscover my PS3 and English PS2 games.
I blame Kaze no Densetsu: Xanadu and Legend of Heroes II for burning me out on moonrunes.
    Thanks a lot, Falcom.

I started Amalur, pretty addictive to be quite honest. Couldn't care less about the story (and contrary to my usual RPG habits I don't bother talking to NPCs much), but the battle system is really fun.

Wondering if any of the DLCs are worth it, if anyone here has played either feel free to let me know.

Haven't played the DLC's, so I can't comment on that.
But for the game itself I found it to be ok, but not worthy of replaying or even keeping after I'd finished it.
Didn't like it as much as Witcher 2 EE, DA:O, Dragon's Dogma.
But it was better than Arcania

Dark Souls is still keeping me busy atm, but I'm starting to see why some people say that the game might be pretty ordinary if the difficulty was lower (or if there was an easy mode).
A few things about it piss me off (but I'm sure every man and his dog has brought them up before), but overall I'm enjoying it.

I bought the DLC, but seem to have lost/deleted my save file somewhere over the years, so I haven't played them yet. I'm contemplating running through the game quickly again. I loved the combat and general ambiance of the world, although I agree the story isn't anything spectacular. And you really aren't missing much by not talking to all the NPCs.

In other news, I played through the first episode of The Wolf Among Us yesterday. Having never read the comic that it's based on, I had no idea what kind of world I was getting into. The art style is very reminiscent of The Walking Dead, although I'm enjoying the more mystical elements in the game. For those that don't know, the general story is that "Fables" (fairy tale heroes/villains, like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, The Big Bad Wolf, Ichabod Crane, Mr. Toad, etc) are all living in hiding in New York City, when one of their kind is murdered. You play as Bigby Wolf (aka The Big Bad Wolf) who is a sheriff in this world, and you start to investigate the different disturbances while interacting with various "real world" fairy tale creatures. The general plot seems to be that there is someone out there killing Fables, and you need to figure out who it is and stop them.

The first episode is really slow, since they're setting up the world more than they are setting up a particular relationship like they did in TWD. I still enjoyed it, but I hope the next few episodes pick up the pace a little bit. Although the couple of fight sequences were well scripted and exciting.
