Default Video problems on original Metroid Prime on Dolphin

Ok, I boot up the game, the soundtrack loads perfectly, But all I got is a black screen.... I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, but nothing seems to be working.... I tried tweaking the game properties a bit; No dice. I tried changing the graphics settings; no soap. I even tried changing the configuration, but like I said, nothing is working....
A few setting screenshot attachments: (spoilered because of size and quantity)

Under your graphics config, try running your "backend" on "Direct3D9"

Also update your dolphin to 3.5

Thanks for pointing that out to the OP, but just be careful you don't start backseat moderating on the site (that's another thing you aren't allowed to do).

Alright, sorry. I only did so because I had more than 5 screenshots.

I already tried that. The only reason I had it on 11 was because 9 didn't work.

    There's a 3.5? I didn't see that in the emulators section....

Edit: Holy crap, there it is....

And now I get neither sound nor video..... just great....

    And meanwhile, Sunshine works fine.....

If you have heaps of screenshots just spoiler them all, or group them in a couple of separate spoilers.

You should only need to create another post straight after you've already done one if you reach the content limit for the first post...but I hope you never do that (and if you do, it might be a good idea to mention that reason in your second post).

You're not in any real trouble, just listen to staff and you'll be fine

I'm not sure about the speed problem, I'm having no luck of bringing mine above about 25 FPS. I also don't have the best computer for this either.

I'll download Metroid Prime and dig a little deeper and let you know what I can find. I'll post back in about an hour.

UPDATE: Ok, Metroid Prime loads right up for me, audio/video both work.

Try to re-download it, make sure the config on Dolphin 3.5 are default.

*shakes head* Nope, it didn't work; still a quiet black screen. It worked on Dolphin 2.0, but was terribly slow and crashed when I pressed L (the Q key) as prompted....

Edit: Ok, I gotta learn to be more patient. Same issues as before with 3.0

Ok, let's see here, you re-downloaded Metroid Prime using the link I gave you right?
Everything on Dolphin 3.5 is default setting?

Hmm, under "graphic settings" in the "general" tab, change "backend" to "OpenGL" then under that is the "display" section, change the "fullscreen resolution" to the lowest possible.

If that doesn't work let me know.

Yes, and yes. I made sure everything was default.
