Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen by Garth Nix. Awesome fantasy novels and would recommend them to everyone here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Kin...book_series%29

Looks like it's aimed at kids tbh. I prefer older MCs.

I suppose I'm pretty late to the party with this, but I finally read Nineteen eighty-four by Orwell. Fucking brilliant book.

Really late, I had to read it for school (ages ago). One of the few good books in that regard.

I really enjoyed that book, have you read Animal Farm? It's good too.
I'm reading Household Saints. It's a book about two Italian families in the 50-60's. The local butcher wins his wife in a card game. They fall in love and it's basically about them and their families. It was made into a movie I believe in the 90's.

Not yet, but I might have to get around to it. As for what I'm currently reading, I just started Fahrenheit 451. Probably gonna finish it in a day or so.

Interesting since I've read Animal Farm ages ago, but haven't read 1984 yet.

Not really, it's not very dark or anything but Garth Nyx is writing a prequel to the series and the books were released a while back...

I didn't read this RECENTLY but I want other people to read this book because it's just awesome:

Shade's Children, no words of mine can do it justice, so google it. It's really really awesome.
