I've been meaning to reply to this thread for quite some time now, though many already have. In naming favorites, I would have to first say Square (even in it's present state, post merger), as they have made quite a number of wonderful games that have entertained me since I was very young.
However, I am also quite fond of Capcom. I believe they were also responsible for funding Clover, credited with creating Okami, which, upon my first playthrough, was certainly the first game I had fallen in love with in a long time.
I'm looking to dive into Atlus when next I have some extra money to spend.
I would have to say my favorite game company is Japan (I would like to think of a whole country as a video game company). I have nothing against non-Japanese game companies. I just end up playing more games from Japanese companies, and Japan has too many companies that I like to list them all.
Cave and Shanghai Alice, for their awesome Shmups.
.
Capcom, for Megaman, Street Fighter, Bionic Commando, Ghosts & Goblins, Resident Evil, and several other great franchises that are still around to this day.
More seriously, probably Bethesda, Valve, Bullfrog (do they still even exist?), Blizzard, Bioware.
Capcom is probably on my long list of ennemy, why do they have so much trouble releasing a close to be balanced fighting game?Take exemple on Arksystem and release multiple arcade to test the game before making us spend an other 60$ on another version of the game.
