You know, I remember a guy made a hack for Final Fantasy Tactics; everythings the same its just 5 times harder and a lot of the skills that you would really want like Blade grasp were removed. Its fun as hell and frustrating as hell.
So you mean they modded it into Tactics Ogre?
Voted 6, because its awesome. Since people are listing 'followups', I'd say 11, 9 and mystic quest.
Also, Zack > Cloud. Just to put that out there. Man Crisis Core makes him out to be 100 kinds of ninja-esque awesome.
not to be a dick or anything
but will Ash, Lina, and Tanzhang Please get off this gawd awful Lina = Chen thing and will the 3 of you please quit arguing back and forth about petty little things like polls, names, who is doing what, how bad something is, what you think about this person and this that and the other.
Secondly, Cloud sucks ass, Cecil has problems, Terra is mentally retarded, Squall doesn't know what the fucks going on; Zidane has... problems; Tidus is Drinking too fucking much, Vaan is just too fucking stupid to figure silly little things out, Ramza is naive, and Zack isn't worth shit seeing as how Sephiroth the great retard from hell killed him in one hit.
So yeah... I'd say this thread is pretty invalid and pointless
I love how you can't really say anything about Zidane. I voted for IX btw.
I think the main problem with FF games is that most of them are just some sort of mixture of the previous games. It can get boring. I liked XII because it gave it some new life and stopped following the traditional tragic hero and turned the party into a whole group of heroes (plus Balthier kicks as).
You hate VII in another thread, plus it didn't take you long to say all FF characters are annoying.
Do you have a real opinion?
Did you accidentally read XII (12) as VII ?
Anyway, for me, it's between VIII and XII - 8 was my first real introduction to the series (id played VI before but not much) and at the time, I was wowed by the scale and depth of the game. Afterwards I played VII but didnt enjoy it as much (I felt the dialogue was silly and the story was just dumb in places - something that all FF games suffer from to a degree). I really thought XII was going to suck when I heard about the change in gameplay, but I absolutely loved it. In fact, it's the only Japanese game I've played in which I actually *prefer* the English voiceovers to the originals
