Now that I have all the Kohan games, and legitimate keys , I can host matches against anyone that feels like playing me.
Gonna warn people now, have lots of time and prepare to rage quit!
Very pro.
I'm shocked there is some old ones that haven't been mentioned yet, but still good or at least for the time.
In no real order.
1) Master of Magic
2) Sins of Solar Empire
3) Conquest: Frontier Wars (Loved that game)
4) Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (Modern MoM Clone)
5) Battle Realms
6) Dungeon Keeper Series
7) Rise of Nations/Legends
8) Warlords: BattleCry
9) HomeWorld
10) World in Conflict
That's a few that I can think of that I've played over the years.
Have any of you played C&C: Red alert 2 with the Yuri's Revenge expansion and the Mental Omega mod? Played it a few years back and tried MP with a friend, seemed pretty good. The mod added a campaign for Yuri's Forces too I believe.
Some people would suggest it's a better multiplayer game. As far as custom maps are concerned, Warcraft 3 is still better than Starcraft 1 or 2 to me. Plus the Starcraft series are themed differently than Warcraft, so it's visual appearance caters to a different audience. Starcraft 2 is a little too glossy for me on high settings. I prefer for it to be gritty or outrageous in style like Warcraft 3. Cartoony if you will.
I do like to play RTS games every so often, but I tend to suck at them.
Starcraft 1 & 2
Warcraft 3
Stronghold Crusader Trails
Stronghold Legends
...do Grim Grimoire and that C&C for the PSX count?
I don't really play too many RTS's, but I've played some. Starcraft is cool, and just got Civilization IV and the expansions. Haven't spent too much time with it, but it seems pretty cool.
