    Question Emulators Problem

i have these sort of problems with these dreamcast emulators:
    Chankast
    Null DC
    Demul

on chankast there is no text and the iso won't load, on null dc it works but the graphics are shitty and there is no text and on demul it won't load at all.

btw i'm using a sonic adventure selfboot .cdi file

thanks for the link, i've fixed the error for chankast but when my iso loaded it turned out the same as nulldc, the graphics are polygons and there is no text displayed. all of the other things like speed and sound is okay it's just the graphics and texts. any idea what i should do?

There is a chance that the copy you have was a poor rip. There are a lot of selfboot copies of that game that suffer a lot of problems like the ones you're describing.

If Sprung's FTP is still up (it should be) then try getting his copy of Sonic Adv.:

I got it from his FTP and it works with both NullDC & ChanKast

His FTP is working; I just tried it.

He recently changed the user name and password for it, so make sure you're not trying to log on with the old ones.

I haven't tried Sonic Adv. with the new NullDC either, just the old NullDC 1.0. So, I don't know if/how well it works with nullDC 1.6:

For the old NullDC 1.0, you need XPadder:
    http://www.xpadder.com/

Click the green arrow on that page to download XPadder.

The new NullDC 1.6 now has gamepad support.

Options > Select Plugins > for Maple Input, choose NullDC Joystick.

Then go to Options > Maple > Port A > put a check mark next to your gamepad > then click Config and set your controller.

i will try the ftp later, but i have a question. how do you use xpadder?
i've also downloaded the new version of null dc but whenever i start the emulator a number of error messages popup.

like "unable to load plugin, error level=-104" "this appliacation has failed to start because wpcap.dll was not found. re-installing the application might fix the problem." and "this application has failed to start because d3dx9_35.dll. re-installing the appliction might fix the problem." and "unable to load nullextdev_win32.dll plugin, error level=-104"

what the heck is going on here? whenever these come up the emulator closes. can you help me here?

For the errors you're getting, download the latest DirectX and install it:

    For configuring XPadder:
