The shocking lack of Super Mario Galaxy talk in this thread is shocking.
The Wii has yet to prove itself to me.

The Wii has more than proven itself to me. Simply by having the largest number of games that appeal to me out of the three current systems.
I'm not into any of these gritty, ultra-realistic shooters that you see so often these days. Kane & Lynch? Halo? Call of Duty? Resistance? None of those appeal to me. The PS3 has literally NO games that I want to play. The 360 does have some (Earth Defense Force 2017, Dead Rising, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, possibly Viva Pinata), but not enough to currently warrant purchasing the system. I am also not interested in HD graphics, as I do not own a HDTV, nor do I plan on having one any time within the next few years. Sure, pretty graphics are nice, but not necessary to my enjoyment of a game.
Meanwhile, I'm having a TON of fun with stuff like Zack & Wiki, Guilty Gear XX AC, Mario Strikers Charged, Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution, and soon Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.
To sum it up, the Wii has very much proven itself to me, and I've had more fun with it than I have with any game system in recent memory. Not since the SNES have I enjoyed a system as much as the Wii.
EDIT: Also, inb4 shitstorm.

Beat Call of Duty 4. That game needs to never EVER recommend veteran again, that was ridiculously hard. Haven't completed the bonus mile high mission yet though.
Sounds like a simple case of differing tastes, which I can easily respect
However, please don't lump a shit storm like Halo in with those other games.
And, as for the PS3, it doesn't have many titles for itself now, but give it about a year or 2, I predict it will come back with a vengeance.

Oh cmon now. Folklore, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Eye Of Judgement for total exclusives. Then theres Unreal which has no confirmed 360 release. To say it has NO games without considering at least a few of those is pretty rough.
The PS3 is probably my favorite of all the current gen systems...and I have had them all. (Sold the Wii due to lack of play from anyone in the family...even the 10 year old).
My only beef with the PS3 is the delay in releases for it, compared with the other systems. Specifically Stranglehold. I was more than vocal about it, so I'm sure you all know how I feel about the whole "It's here...next week. Now it's here...next month" bullshit.
I vowed to never buy Stranglehold because of it. In reality, I intend to keep true to that until I can buy it for $9.99, which will be a long while.
Nobody's saying it has NO games. falados said it doesn't have many, and I said that it has NO games that I'm interested in. While Folklore looks nice, I rarely have the perseverance to get through an RPG anymore. Resistance is a FPS, and aside from VERY few exceptions, I'm not into FPS'es. Ratchet and Clank has never appealed to me (nor has just about any platformer starring an anthropomorphic animal since Sonic Adventure 2). Uncharted looks like Dude Raider (lol), and Eye of Judgment looks like a neat tech demo, but not something I'd spend money on. I fell out of the whole CCG thing a long time ago. And Unreal...meh, FPS. I didn't even enjoy Metroid Prime 3. I just plain don't like FPS'es.
You've just proven my point though, by calling my X1300 craptacular, thereby implying that to get the most out of my gaming, I need a new video card.
Conversely, I get the exact same gaming quality as every other PS3 owner does when I play my console.
The games are optimized to the hardware of the consoles, so (if done correctly) they give the best possible graphics/performance ratio on said hardware. Take the same game to the PC and you'll most likely get even better graphics/performance, but you'll have to spend more money.
I IMPLY NOTHING! But seriously, how did I imply that? I didn't say you would need the latest and greatest to play every game out there, your X1300PRO can play anything save crysis and probably CoD4. If you bought your PC for gaming you probably would have spent an extra $50 for an X1600 to begin with.
And same crappy loading times
No kidding, I get like 65436543 FPS in MotoGP 2007.
The way I see it, you've plunked down what, $600 for your PC, plus what, $500 for your PS3? That's $1,100, whereas I put down just over $950 for everything in one package.

I may have nothing to say, but as a rig builder I am not at anyone's mercy!
