    Default Problem with a 1M Sub-Circuit?

Well I downloaded the VisualBoyAdvanced Emulator and it says that the 1M Sub-circuit is not installed. What is that and how can I play the Pokemon Leaf Green Rom I downloaded? How can I install this 1M Sub-Circuit?

Where'd you download the emulator from? I've downloaded it tons of times and never seen that message.

    Go here:
    http://www.epforums.org/local_links.php?catid=5

    Download vba-over.ini.
Make sure you follow the instructions given on that page or it won't work.

The reason these games do this is because VBA detects the save as 64K Flash when it is suppose to be 128K Flash. The vba-over.ini file will force VBA to use the correct save type for whatever games are in it. If you view the readme file that comes with VBA it explains all about the vba-over.ini file.

    HELLO!
I believe I am having this exact same problem as captain moon!
I also get the 1M sub curcuit error, although it lets me continue to play
however I can't save ( or load ), when I try and save it tells me... "Save error" promptly followed by "Please exchange backup memory". I won't be able to continue playing after beating the elite four. help?

    Ps.
I don't know how important this is but the rom I'm using is rom number 1637.

Oh and I tried the vba-over.ini but it didn't seem do anything.

    don't revive threads this old.

you say you tried vba-over, but you did set it to automatic save, and Flask 64K, right? (Options>Emulator>Save Type)

Yeah! I saw your reply in my thread which is what made me look around a little more lol
I looked at the vba settings and guess what, it was already set as automatic and flash 64k by default.

    So um.. now what?
Could you try downloading th leaf green rom, it's number 1637 and see if you experience the same problem? and see if you can fix it and tell me how you did it?

vba-over.ini won't work unless you delete the .sav and .sgm save files for Leaf Green.

You should find them in the same folder where you have your Leaf Green rom.

After you delete them, start VBA, load the rom, and begin a New Game.

Also, you did unzip the vba-over.ini file into the same folder where you have VBA?

    OMG I hate you...

    because it worked...
I didn't follow that step properly.
No wonder Captain Moon didn't show his face again... he would have been to embarrased.
    Sorry for being so dumb.

    That's why, with vba-over.ini I always say:

"Make sure you follow the instructions given on that page or it won't work."

As for Captain Moon, who knows why he didn't come back.
Maybe he figured it out? Or gave up?

Anyway, at least you figured it out.

But instead of reviving old threads, it's better to make a new one when asking for help with something.

And since this is such an old thread, I'm locking it.
