I was playing dragon age, skyrm and fallout four (trying to get in wrpg and i love jrpg), and I cant really get into them and then i found one reason why. they sound, bland? emotionless? hell even when one character in inquasition laughs it sounds forced to me, almost to the point of annoying. why are wrpg like that? or am i not playing the right ones? like hyperdimension rebirth 2 made me tear up when i got a certain ending, then the next game made fun of her for it. Yeah i know, some of the same voice actors played in it (i think) but it just seems to me that even the voice actors put more emotion into the games whereas games like dragon age dont. i have to admit i did chuckle on a few lines but that was it. maybe its the dialog, but i just dont enjoy them like people think i should and for a while i couldnt put my finger on it.

so in short, despite the good voice acting why do they sound bland and emotionless in wrpg such as dragon age and fallout and skyrim?
