Question Windows 10's new browser is Chrome???

I just installed Windows 10. To me, it looks like Windows 7 with Windows 8 squares in the menu. It's stupid looking and UI elements don't match, but I digress.

The new Edge browser is being pushed. This is its user agent string:

The UA string doesn't necessarily indicate that one web browser is based off of another specific browser, it's more to tell websites how to serve data to the browser so it displays correctly. This page explains why they would stick "Chrome" in Edges string; http://www.davevoyles.com/microsofts...ome-ua-string/ ("Spartan" is what they called Edge originally).

As an aside, you can get rid of those tiles on the Win10 start menu by just right-clicking them for a "remove" option, then you can resize the menu (as you would with a normal window) to get rid of the extra space.

EDIT: More context for all the extra parts of those strings being present; http://webaim.org/blog/user-agent-string-history/

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

I know about the start menu. But whatever favorites you add are still boxes. There is no way around it. W10, like 8, caters to touch screens. That looks terrible on desktop screens, esp. when there are still W7 UI elements jumbled in. It looks cheap and unprofessional. The W7 UI was perfectly acceptable, and more efficient. Another service pack for W7 would have been a better choice for the user, but MS had to push their agenda.
