if I do ever get another cat I'll get it the way I've always gotten cats a stray kitten or some local mutt I've had pretty good luck getting good cats that way.

Raising a animal from a baby is the best option to get a real loving pet that is not a pain in the ass.

But you can find a decent grown one occasionally that's not obnoxious......

I'd recommend getting a Maine Coon, they're very friendly and don't scratch much (Though if they do they can seriously fuck you up) because they're huge and have really long claws. But if you raise one from a kitten they're extremely lovable and love to play.
