    Default Downloading issues

Hi. So I'm trying to download the Fire Emblem Path of Radiance emulator. However, it keeps trying to download as a VLC file which doesn't work. What does it need to be downloaded as and how can i download it in that way? Anyone who can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

first, fire emblem path of radiance is a iso, not an emulator and also not a VLC file. it just has the VLC icon on it as VLC likes to associate itself with those types of files (i think). just start it up with the correct emulator as normal and it should work.

i've never tried a wii emulator though so i'm sure someone may come and provide better help and/or correct any mistakes i made.

Video Lan aka VLC can play DVD ISO's so yes has an association with them but that will not stop the iso file from working with other software.

Dolphin can either be directed directly to the ISO or you can set up an ISO folder and it will scan that folder for iso's, gcm's and other supported files even if they are associated with other programs the games will then be listed within the Dolphin software

P.S. VLC is no longer one of the better media players

it isn't? well, i don't think i've looked into anything related to media players since i installed VLC and knowing how i tend forget to update some things, the version i do have is likely out of date anyway (vlc-2.0.6-win32).
