    Default Top 10 RPGs Poll

    Hi gang.

Random conversations with my coworkers led me to do this.

I'm gathering as many people that are willing to give me their top 10 favorite rpgs of all time. I want to see what the masses consider.

If you want to participate (I'd love to get over 200 people's list) please send me a pm with your list in order can I can give them points.

I'm asking for pm so everyone's list is individual and so another person's list doesn't affect/alter/adjust you own games. Or just post your lists here. lol

Any and all games you would consider are fine. I've gotten plenty of obscure games so far. The more people I can get to participate, will result in a better overall listing.

So please join in, and when I'm satisfied with enough lists, I plan to tally up the totals and make a grand project that I will share with you all.

    Thanks again.

    Shadow, out!

There aren't even 200 active posters on this here bbs.

But I'll do a list because why not.

    1. Baldur's Gate (all games/expansions as one because it's really one experience)
    2. Planescape Torment
    3. Pillars of Eternity
    4. Mass Effect (again all of it)
    5. Morrowind
    6. Icewind Dale
    7. Lunar 2
    8. Valkyrie Profile
    9. Icewind Dale 2
    10. Neverwinter Nights 2

I didn't list strategy games, or some Fire Emblem probably sneaks in there.

    Gran Turismo. %)))))))))

Is that how you do it

Also I won't PM you because they're turned off except for certain members

In no particular order except for the first one. Maybe. But I agree with Gypsy.

    1. Baldur's Gate (all games/expansions as one because it's really one experience)

    2. Final uh-oh Fantasy. Hell let's just say all of them and preclude any arguments over this. There are plenty of other series anyhow. But yeah screw that. Let's go with 12 this time. Have I picked 12 before??? Probably since I've answered this sort of question so many times even picking a different numbered game each time would enivatibly be repeated at some point. And yet I keep posting a list every single goddamn time it comes up. Yayyyyy!

    3. Star Ocean 2.

    4. Even though I never played the fifth game which is supposed to suck anyways. And if anyone says it's not an RPG I will rape your firstborn son with a Potato.. And like Baldurs Gate you can play with the same character right though would be...... .... .....
Quest for Glory series. If Gare was still around I think he would approve of this choice.

    5. Funny one here and the only one I've played but Shadow Hearts to the New World. I really enjoyed it. It was a bargain bin PS2 title I grabbed years ago and was hooked until completion. Easy fun and straight forward.

    6. The original Wild Arms. Came close to beating this game but never quite did due to a certain FF game I managed to grab before it was officially released and never got back to it. First psx rpg I ever played. It was also stolen from me by a crack addict. True story.

    7. AD&D the Dark Queen of Krynn. An oldy but goody. I actually had this for my first and only Mac computer. An LGII if I remember correctly. Sunk a lot of hours into that one.

    8. Demon Souls. I have a love hate relationship with this game. But it deserves a mention I suppose.

    9. Dragon's Blade 2 fx. Ok this one is probably not very well known. It is completely unforgiving and am still working on this from time to time. It makes grinding in the original Final Fantasy look like baking a pie. It has a huge array of features for a nes/snes style rpg everything from searching/digging/forestry/item creation/monster hunting for parts and so on and so forth. It is for only as so far as I know for Windows phone. But man if you're looking for something to sink at least a few hundred hours into then this is for you.

    10. Ohhhhhhh the 10 spot. I don't like that terminology so let's call it the rpG-spot. That rpg that gets you all hot and wet. I can't even post it due to people popping boners and getting their screen all sticky. What you still want to kow what it is?????

    PM me and find out

Edit: I almost polished off a six-pack composing this post so you owe me some beers!!!!

Where's the love for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

I'm more of a console gamer and my list will reflect that...also some of these may not be acceptable as "rpg" but I don't care.

    1. TES III Morrowind GotY, IV Oblivion GotY, V Skyrim GotY.
    2. Fallout 3 GotY & New Vegas Ultimate (NV isn't as good as 3 imo but I've still included it).
    3. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic & II The Sith Lords.
    4. Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition (no, I'm not including 2 because I didn't like it. I haven't played the more recent one yet so no mention of that either).
    5. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition (haven't played 3 yet).
    6. Far Cry 3 (4 wasn't as good so I've left it out)
    7. Mass Effect 1,2 & 3.
    8. Dead Island & Riptide
    9. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
    10. Demon's Souls (I've put this down here because I like it, but it's damn hard once you get to NG+).

    Spoiler warning:

I demand a definition of RPG before wasting a single second on this! Strategy/Tactical RPGs count, yes/no?

    Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.

Don't worry. I'm sure Final Fantasy Tactics counts as an rpg

Tsk, it's way to unbalanced and engrish-ridden to make it onto my top-ten.

Edit: Also, Zally is 5000 % better than the rest of you for actually motivating his choices.

AWWWWWW, you're so right, ok here is my toplist again with comments and I demand your toplist now!

    10. Shadow Tower: The Abyss (English Fanpatch; PS2)
Dork Souls 0.5, neat and creepy and waaaaay better paced than King's Field IV.

    9. Elder Scrolls Morrowind (PC)
Amazing, highly immersive world with great loot and neat customization (MAGIC JUMP!)

    8. Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land (PS2)
Corky first person dungeon crawler with an awesome dark atmophere.

    7. Soma Bringer (English Fanpatch; NDS)
Tight japanese hack'n'slay ala diablo with music from Yasunori friggin Mitsuda.

    6. Metal Saga (PS2)
A little bit like Xenogears, but this postapocalyptic setting tickles me harder.

    5. Grandia (PSX)
The pinnacle of adventure or quest or whatever you call it, very nice story build into a world crafted with lots of passion.

    4. Tales of Innocense (English Fanpatch; NDS)
Great character writing, nice music, labyrintian dungeons, awesome realtime battlesystem, great fan-translation...I wonder if all the Tales of titles are this good?!

    3. Etrian Odyssey (NDS)
The perfection of first person dungeon crawlers!

    2. Fallout 3 (PC)
Highly immersive, great setting and neat story waaaaay better than FO:NV

    1. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Character design by Akira Toriyama, music from Yasunori friggin Mitsuda...the perfect JRPG!
