    Default sys573.zip Inconsistency?

    Hi All,

May I know why is the file size different between sys573.zip (61.8 KB) in MAME 0.133 BIOS Pack (http://www.emuparadise.me/biosfiles/MAMEBIOS.rar) and sys573.zip (220 KB) in System 573 BIOS (http://www.emuparadise.me/roms/roms.php?gid=17280)? Could it be due to is meant for different MAME version?

    Thank you.

That is the probable answer since many MAME roms are changed through each version, it is a pain but that is why there is a rollback romset so you can rebuild a older set for use in older MAME versions.

The rollback set is not hosted here, only at the official source for arcade roms, PM me if you would like to know where.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Thanks Warrior. There's lots for me to learn first and research. Will PM you for sure if I'm sure that I need a rollback set.

The official source has everything you need to know, plus a highly active forum for extra information.

In another words, to ensure always have the latest version, is to manually do a search through this website MAME roms session (http://www.emuparadise.me/M.A.M.E._-...mulator_ROMs/7). The required files can be found using 'Audit' function from MAMEUI (www.mameui.info).

For example if rom is missing 'sys573' as seen in attached screenshot, you need to download 'sys573.zip' (System 573 BIOS) from http://www.emuparadise.me/M.A.M.E._-...rting-With-S/7.
