Default Rogue Squadron and Rogue Leader unplayable

I am new to Dolphin but have other, more taxing games. These 2 are gamecube and they are stuttering and the sound is all screwed up. I also get the error "failed to compile geometry shader" and it just won't play. Alternatively, I have Punch out Wii working no problem. I have a decent rig but an older Nvidia 8800 GS but it still runs great. Any ideas?

Do you mean Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader & Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike?

Yep, those are the ones. Even with the Wiki (and that version of Dolphin) I can't get them to run. They stutter and the audio is a wreck. My video card isn't that great but it runs Wii Punch out with no issues.

Sorry to say that I've done as much as I can by pointing out the wiki info I don't emulate games I use real hardware, but I will say that being able to play Punch Out ok isn't an indication of anything strange going on...that title wouldn't be demanding.

My rig is a core i7 and 32gb of ram but my card is only 384MB of ram. It could be these games are just to much for my weak GPU.

Try using the most recent version of development build, or the official/stable version if you haven't.

But, usually the error will pop if you're using older GPU or outdated driver and yes, compares to Punch Out, both games are very demanding.

It could be a Lucasarts issue, since the Rogue Squadron game on N64 has similar graphics problems.
When I finally found a Video plugin that would get past the intro screen, I was treated to a sky that was a repeating square and a game that would not respond to controls.

I hope it's not a Lucas issue and you can get it running.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.
