Default need some reccomendations for free regisrty and dll fixing software

title pretty much says it. I'm having a bit of trouble with a dll file and want to fix it but I need to do it FREE. I've done a little digging and only came across one app that provided a free scan but tried to charge $35 to fix the problem.
to elaborate on the problem I'm having it's with video playback freezing but it's been pretty random but the listed fault module is always the same "igdumd32.dll" I've scanned for virueses malware/spyware I've downgraded my media player updated it and my codecs I've even run windows error checker.
this problem has been frustrating me since sat night. I would greatly appreciate any help from knowledgeable members.

That's an Intel graphics driver. Have you tried simply updating it?? Maybe try going for the 64bit one. What version of Windows?

I could not find the right driver apparently my intergrated graphics is no longer supported.

Ok. Believe this is it. Scanned it quickly and it has the gm 45 series in it as well as a bunch of other junk which you don't need. Just read it carefully and make a restore point before doing so.

    I assume you have Win7?

yeah win 7 64. I'm a bit reluctant to try that one as it's for 32 bit and I really don't want to screw things up.
edit I tried that driver and another but was unable to install either I was given a error message saying "the driver software was not validated for this computer the driver will not be installed" any other suggestions?

You should never need to download extra software to download and install missing .dll files; it can be done manually. For example, googling "igdumd32.dll download" gave me this top result. The page is a bit of a mess, and covered with advertisements for scanners etc: ignore those. Find the button that says "Download Zip-file", and click that instead. It'll give you a list of downloads, so pick the latest version from the list and click the arrow by it, then Download.

You should get a zip file named after the .dll file you need, so extract that. Now stick the .dll file it gives you in the root folder for whatever program is giving you the dll error (usually the same folder as the main .exe file).

As for registry "cleaners" or "fixers", understand that there are really no major issues that these will actually fix. The only exception is if they were caused by very specific types of malware, in which case you would be using a specific tool anyway. There are scanners that find and help remove redundant & deprecated registry entries, but the performance boost gained by doing so is negligible with modern systems.

Still, if you would like an all-in-one cleanup tool, check out CCleaner. Here's a download link; https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

There may be a 64-bit driver package out there (try searching "gma 4500m 64bit"), but in any case a 32-bit installer isn't going to mess anything up. If anything, it won't run at all, signaling that a 64-bit one is indeed necessary.

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

igdumd32.dll would seem to be for a 32 bit system, but with a restore point you shouldn't have to worry about messing things up.

With a GMA 4500m i'm guessing it's a laptop, in which case there may not be new drivers you can apply. With my old netbook, the newest driver version I could find was older than the version loaded on the netbook. When I looked into it I read that Intel only made drivers up to a certain number, anything later was made by the laptop manufacturer specifically for that laptops systems. Google for igdumd for windows7 64 bit.

I had a lot of problems playing video on those laptops, but I'm pretty sure it was due to their low specs: 1.6GHz intel atom with 4 cores, 1 GB RAM, intel GMA 4550(I think). One of them would not run Youtube well, the other would not run Netflix. Meaning the video would lag and desync from the audio. If you have a large USB Thumb drive or SD card that your computer can use, it might be helpful to set up Readyboost. It won't help noticeably on a powerful system but on that weak laptop it helped make up for the low RAM.

It's also worth noting that you really should not mess with a registry cleaner unless you really investigate and know a lot about your registry. Those things will delete entries that will kill your computer if you aren't careful.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I ended up doing a fresh install of windows since I was having some other unrelated problems everything seems fine right now I'll make sure after
all the windows updates finish. my system isn't that bad for a cheaper laptop I have an intel duo core running at 2.30ghz, 2 gbs of ram a 250gb hdd.
I do want to buy a spare large capacity flash drive or sd card for readyboost when I have some extra money. thanks for the input I really appreciate it.

I always let CCleaner do whatever the hell it wants to my registry. I don't back up changes to it before "fixing" either, it hasn't done anything to my computer. So, how does it delete entries that'll kill your computer?

CCleaner is a good one. A lot of them are ass and can delete the wrong things especially if you have been using custom drivers and a lot of cracked games with fixed registry entries that will pop up as being errors like getting false positives in an antivirus. If you don't pirate absolutely everything (like I do ) then chances are you'd be ok. At least that was my experience.
