Default Spirit Tracks issue on R4i SDHC 3DS RTS

Both top and bottom screens look "torn" as if screen tearing could actually be paused. But in stasis... Apparently, I've heard other issues about the train controls not appearing but I haven't actually played the game because I wasn't about to play it under this condition. Maybe I just got a bad rom? Or maybe there's more like patching or something like that?

Spirit Tracks has AP on it so you would need to patch it first.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

You would normally need a patch file and xdelta but you can do it with a nifty tool,

    DS-Scene_Rom_Tool_v1.0_build_1205_Pack.7z

that will tell you all the info on a DS rom and let you patch them if they have any AP on them.

How do I patch em? Also I tried Okamiden and it had a similar issue, there was AP on it but it would just leave the screen white.

Open the tool then open the rom with the tool (you may need to wait a short while, while it loads/scans the rom), it is kinda obvious from there and if it needs a patch it will tick the AP Patch tab otherwise it stays a cross, just click on the Export tab, make sure Apply AP Patch is checked and hit Export.

Hint:- If you can't see the Export tab click the little right arrow (located on the right of the tabs)

Just tried, didn't work. :c Still having the white screen problems, in fact, Spirit Tracks turned white too.

Should of got a quality flash kit

I take it the rom was detected correctly and the AP Patch tab had HEX info there

I am not aware of that game having AP though my kit bypasses AP anyway

EDIT checked it out, I guess it does at 4 offsets in the US version and the EU version

Is there no other way passed this then? Other than to get a better kit when I can?

    I was kidding about that

Though it would help if they still made the Supercard DSTWO, but they don't so you are kinda stuck on that kit

The patching should of worked though that may not be the real reason at all

Other reasons for games not to working are

slow/fake MicroSD (fake cards tend to be alot slower than they should be)
corrupt/unstable MircoSD (A reformat with SD Formatter v4.0 will fix those issues, just back everything up first, then copy it back after)

o ok lol Also, I tried to reformat, still white screen. I tried to check and see if my R4i thingy was fake and I don't think it is... It's weird because Bowser's Inside Story has some AP on it but the key points people pointed out where the game froze didn't happen to me.
