It's hidden though, but yeah, we should make set it to completely inactive probably.

Just thought of this, how about a way to tag a user in a post? And they get a notification if they get tagged. That way if let's say the HO is actually busy for once, and someone leaves but another person left a response for them and it gets buried, they could tag them so they know they were replied to.

Albeit it's pretty pointless, I love that idea! Dunno if there's any hacks like that though, but that's something to look into.

Ideas we'll most likely implement:

• Hide the Daycare section

• Make the already hidden forumon section even more hidden/inactive

Ideas to explore further

• Bring back the forum arcade

• More cleanup/streamlining the forums / clean up of the uploads section?

• Promote online gaming tournies and such / netplay section on the main page?

• More LP exposure?

• Make better use of the EP point-system

• A hack enabling user tagging?

• New main-page layout / streamlining?

Didn't we have an online tourney thing that fizzled out pretty fast once upon a time??

The problem is we have groups of EP members already playing with each other (snickers) outside of EP on their PS3's and Wii's and such and can't see too many people sticking with this for long.

Also I think the Forum is layed out pretty good as is

I believe when I first joined Nem or something made that thread about all those fighting games that they played matches on, other than that I've never really seen a tournament.

And although I've never played on a PS4 or 360 with any EP guys, I have played League with a few.

i forgot there even was a forum rpg here. could never access it anyway and now that i think of it the last forum game i actually played here was that Triple Triad (was that the title of that card game in FFVIII/FFIX?). haven't seen that game in a while either but maybe i just haven't bothered to look hard enough.

for as rarely as i ever see a actual forum rgp game anywhere its even rarer that i bother to try them out. whenever i do hear about a forum based rpg game it generally winds up being some role play thing that i'm just not interested in. i love rpg games but the whole forum/chat room/etc. role play just isn't among my interests tbh. (this is why i almost never google looking for forum rpg games because most of the result aren't games) that or i've just been looking in all the wrong places all these years.

i can't recall the sites name for nothing anymore but i DO remember seeing a...at least somewhat function forum rpg game on another rom/emulator site years ago. asidefrom that i got nothing since, as i said already, those games seem fairly rare from what i've seen over the years.

Indeed, for reasons I posted...somewhere here.
I'm sure it CAN be done properly.
That one BIG hurdle was:
Lag.
I remember I was to play Hypnos/Dr.Mario and we dreaded even starting, because distance + kaillera.
Kangooland - Europe is a big deal to kaillera.

There was a critical issue with the monsters database/files when a vBulletin upgrade happened or something, can't remember.
By the time I found a fix, it had died out.

Requests Sub forum removed totally now, in favor of the upload requests stuck threads in each of the uploads sections

P.S. love the idea of online multi player gameing via emulators and other home type servers, can also include multi player on older systems like Xbox (that is system link play over a custom server) also works with PSP and possibly PS2 also if I remember, can post more info later if needs be

I think that can be part of the forum though than the main site or a mix at the very least (get more involvement on forum )

If you are referring to the method used for Xbox, PS2 & PSP ect it's for system link/local network games, the Xbox itself can not go online at all due to the Xbox live servers no longer supporting the original Xbox, the rest I'm not sure about but the method I am thinking of only passes on what should be a local network or system link data over the internet, so original online options can't be used that way but system link game play works

If it would help promote forum activity and all that I can post the almost? complete rom sets for Supercade and Fightcade.

Playing online against members in games of sport (mostly fighters) is great fun, really gets the blood pumpin.

A relatively simple change in the forums would be to change the background color theme so the background is white and the text is black, so it's easier to read.

Actually if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of any forum page, on the bottom left is a dropdown menu for EP style. Try out EP blue. Might be better for you.
