    Default Come say Hi!

This is the place where old members who return to EPForums can come and say Hi. Tell us where you've been, how long you've been gone, what's been happening, and how AWESOME it is to RETURN!

Hold shit, I'm not sure I even want to check how many years it is since I last posted.
Cool to see the place still going strong!

Edit: additional info reflecting where I've been
Since last visiting, I've learned Japanese as a hobby, spent over a year in Japan, come back home and started working as a freelance translator.
    I don't think I would have imagined...

    edit 2: ok Japanese doesn't get encoded very well ^^;

    Hello!

So...It has been 15 years, huh?
I still remember EP being one of, if not, the first websites I visited when I had internet access. Most people would probably look op porn their first time but I was eager to play games I couldn't afford/find
Throughout the years I've poked around the site/forum on and off but haven't really posted. In the early days my connection was fairly good and I remember participating in spreading all the games on the forum
Nowadays I don't really have anything to add. I haven't been gaming as much as I used to. I've never gotten into the current western centric gaming, so I only have a 3DS as current gaming console. I still enjoy past generations of gaming tho ^^
I hope you all will keep up the good work. This is one of the only sites that still exists after so long and it has pretty much all you can need for your gaming needs.

Well, here I am again. Once in a while I show my face around here. But I must say that I liked the mail MasJ sent.

EP was basically the first community I was/am a member of. I remember having my first PC, wanted to play classic games (yes, even then they were classic). Downloading a SNES game with my 56k dial-up was awesome!

I always feared for EP because of the questionable content, it is not perfectly legal so to say . But I'm glad to see everything is going well.
Nowadays, I work for one of the biggest ISP in the Netherlands, and I even have a mini-Muse! Yes! I have a healthy boy, tomorrow he'll be 10 months old.

And my avatar... it has been ages since I made it and used it as my avatar.

...But I didn't abandon my call for gaming. The fire is still very bright and I am planning to pass that fire over to my boy. That will be one awesome kid, I tell you.

EDIT: Subscribed! I want to see all of ye!

I'm just a lurker these days, I feel like an 80 year old gramps, watching his grand children play outside *sigh*

Err, yeah. Time has flown past and I am not coming back as the topic is no longer at all relevant to me (and no time for randomness either), but since got such a nice e-mail asking about it... just to say Hi! All the names so far on this thread ring a bell even though it's been ages since I was active here. Damn RetroD00D!s, you were there back then, and you are here now again. Yep, this was the first Internet community I was involved with, can't change that fact. And I can't deny that this place wouldn't have had an effect on who I am now and what I have got to experience over the years. So, thanks everyone, you have made an impact on me.

    Peace.
    Have you seen me before?

What was the last thread you guys posted in before leaving? Looks like I didn't use any fancy farewell threads before drifting off.

What do we have here? Some familiar faces dropping by to say hi! This was totally unexpected and not intended

I'm glad to see you back, arif (may be wrong but weren't you a DC++ user too?), Jones (wasn't your bro regged as well?), Nitra and Norgus (been a while!) and doing well, guys

Things haven't changed here that much over the years. Well, we emulate less and we play more but it's all good Hope you guys stick around!

Yeah I was! I got the most out of my 1Mb upload back then
I remember people waiting ages to get those PSX games Now everyone has the US ISO set of the PSX (and even PS2) on their HDDs doing nothing.

My memory isn't as good as it used to be but it's still fully functional!

Cool kids these days have their HDDs full of PS4 ISOs. Ok, not really. Not yet

Ohhhh, right! I guess he can do it then. I sort of vaguely remember him being an annoying little fart, but then again I could be wrong and I still am so it's all good.

It's extra funny because you were apparently genuinely active in dec 2005 and jan 2006, before leaving. Although in fairness, it is entirely possible that your previous "final post" has been lost, as we've suffered a few "roll-backs" through the years (servers and all went down, and we weren't good with regular back-ups... oops!). Good to see you again nonetheless.
