    Default ROM extraction issues

When I attempt to download a ROM from this website, it doesn't extract properly most of the time. I know I'm doing something wrong when it comes to the extraction process because I can sometimes get it to work, and I know it doesn't have anything to do with where I'm getting the ROMs because I've gotten them all from Emuparadise and only sometimes can I get the ROM to be in the desired file type (ISO) sometimes it's CDI or GCI. When I download a rom, it looks like the image. Withing each of those is just a GCI file that I have no idea what to do with. I'm willing to redownload the files or do whatever to get it into the ISO format, I just thinking I'm not downloading or extracting the files properly.

Its a simple double packed package.
I don't see why is it so confusing. Its like peeling banana take crusts off until you come to the "core"

All you need to do is just right click on first rar part (always first rar part) and click extract here, when extracted repeat procedure for second layer of rar from first rar package again.

That .GCM file is an image. It's a Gamecube game isn't it?

The .gcm file is the game image. It's the same as an .iso file.
I'm not 100% sure about emulation but I guess it should work just the same as an .iso image because it does on my Wii console.

I find that I get an incredible amount of errors when trying to play GCM for some reason. Could someone explain to me how they go about downloading ISOs?

Are you absolutely sure it makes a difference? I mean it could be the game/emu compatibility your settings or whatever.
I haven't noticed any difference between using .gcm and .iso using real hardware so I assume Dolphin would be the same.

the difference between *.gcm files and *.iso files is the just the name on the end so if you get errors with *.gcm you will get the exact same errors with *.iso as they are the exact same format

gcm files do not need converting as they are already iso files with the file extension changed that you can change back just by renaming the file

gcm's are iso's there is no difference except the file ext that you can change to .iso if you wanted

no matter how many .iso's you have does not change the fact that .gcm's are the exact same format

    no but's about it
